LONDON — The Jets got beat up Sunday, and now, one of their best players may miss time.

Wide receiver Garrett Wilson injured his knee in Sunday’s game and will undergo testing to see how serious it is.

Wilson was in and out of Sunday’s 13-11 loss to the Broncos.

The Jets threw the ball to him on their final third down, but it was knocked out of his hands near the Jets sideline.

He then walked off and was not in the game on the final offensive snap for the Jets.

“I’m going to find out here soon and know how to move forward based on what I find out,” Wilson said.

Wilson would not say what body part he injured, but he was limping in the Jets locker room and a source confirmed it was a knee injury.

Wilson said he underwent an X-ray at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and anticipated having an MRI exam Monday.

He was asked if he was worried he would have to miss time.

“We’re going to find out,” Wilson said. “I don’t want to say nothing too early. Just trying to wait for the stuff to come back. It’s really messing with my mental. I don’t even want to think about it for real. Just pray that everything comes back good.”

The Jets allowed nine sacks to the Broncos. Some of that was on QB Justin Fields for holding onto the ball too long, but the offensive line also got beaten too often.

The Broncos are known for bringing pressure but the Jets did not look prepared for it.

“We knew that,” guard Joe Tippmann said. “We’ve just got to be able to lock in and study up more and be able to make those plays when they count and be able to hold up so that Justin, no matter how much time he needs, he can get the ball out.”

This is the second straight poor performance by the Jets in pass protection.

The Cowboys had five sacks last week.

The Jets defense bounced back from a dismal performance against Dallas and had its best game of the season.

The Jets held the Broncos to 246 total yards and just one touchdown.

The defense had a players-only meeting this week to talk about its issues.

“I feel like we got done what we wanted to get done,” said edge rusher Jermaine Johnson, who had a sack in his first game back from injury. “You can’t be letting up 35, 30, 25 points. We said we have to be the reason we win or we’re in it. I feel like we got that done.”

CB Qwan’tez Stiggers and LB Cam Jones both left the game with hip injuries.
