A Jadeveon Clowney-Browns reunion may be in the works.

The veteran pass rusher is visiting the team on Wednesday, according to NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo,

Cleveland.com’s Mary Kay Cabot also reported the Browns are “strongly considering” re-signing Clowney.

Clowney, a free agent who spent 2025 with the Cowboys, played two seasons with the Browns from 2021-22 and recorded 11 sacks.

While he had nine sacks in 2021 playing alongside former Browns star Myles Garrett, he had just two in 2022.

Near the end of the 2022 season, Clowney said he likely wouldn’t be re-signing with the Browns because the team favored Garrett over him.

“You’re all trying to get [Garrett] into the Hall of Fame instead of winning games,” Clowney said. “I don’t even think [Garrett] notices. I ain’t trying to say it’s him. I try to get along with everybody I play with. Me and him don’t have a problem. It ain’t his fault, and it’s B.S., and I don’t have time for it.”

Though things didn’t end well in Cleveland, Clowney apologized for his comments and is open to a return after Garrett was traded to the Rams.

The 33-year-old was the first overall pick in 2014 and has spent his career with the Texans, Seahawks, Titans, Ravens, Panthers, Browns and Cowboys.

Clowney has 66.5 career sacks over 12 seasons, is a two-time Pro Bowler and was a Second Team All-Pro in 2016.

Even after acquiring Jared Verse in the Garrett trade, the Browns pass rush still doesn’t have the juice it had the last few seasons, making a Clowney signing logical.

Clowney is no Garrett, but he could provide a veteran presence on a relatively young Browns defense.
