Somehow, “Bosch” returned.

Following the 2021 finale of “Bosch” and the more recent “Bosch: Legacy” coming to an end in March 2025, the “Bosch” world continues to expand on Prime Video with the premiere of “Ballard.”

Maggie Q will star as the titular detective, Renée Ballard, who is given the opportunity to take over LAPD’s long-dormant and underfunded Cold Case division. Per Amazon, she’ll investigate a serial killer’s string of murders and a murdered John Doe, before she uncovers a dangerous conspiracy within the LAPD.

Harry Bosch himself (Titus Welliver) will be back in “Ballard,” helping Det. Ballard and her cold case volunteer team”outwit both criminals and colleagues to bring long-overdue justice to the victims and their families.”

The new series will also be inspired by Michael Connelly’s novels, namely his “Renée Ballard and Harry Bosch” series.

‘Ballard’ on Prime Video release date:

All 10 episodes of “Ballard” Season 1 debut on Prime Video on July 9. The episodes will drop at 3 a.m. ET.
