Though most starters won’t see action during tonight’s New York Jets vs. Philadelphia Eagles preseason finale, many players will be making their last case to make the 53-man roster ahead of cuts looming next week.

The Jets are 1-1 in preseason, having won the opener against Green Bay, but falling to the Giants during last weekend’s Snoopy bowl. The defending Super Bowl champion Eagles are also 1-1; they won Week 1 against Cincinnati, but lost Week 2’s matchup with the Browns.

The Jets made trades for two defensive tackles earlier this week, while Leonard Taylor, Derrick Nnadi and rookie Payton Page are all trying to make an impression at the position and make the final roster. Wide receiver is another interesting position with Garrett Wilson and Arian Smith a lock to make it, but a handful of other players fighting for open roster spots.

  • When: Aug. 22, 7:30 p.m. ET

Here’s what you need to know to tune in to the Jets’ preseason finale.

How to watch Jets vs. Eagles for free:

If you don’t have cable and live in the New York area, you’ll need a live TV streaming service to stream the Jets for free tonight. One option we love is DIRECTV, which comes with five days free and starts at $49.99/month, with plenty of subscription options and genre packs that include WCBS.

Outside of NYC? You can watch all out-of-market preseason matchups with NFL+.
