The Yankees are kicking off a 10-game road trip with a weekend series against the Philadelphia Phillies.
Since the All-Star Break came to an end, the Yankees have dealt with inclement weather postponing games, leading to two doubleheaders in four days. In the most recent doubleheader on Wednesday, they fell to the Pirates in 10 innings in the first fame, but won the second 2-0.
The highlight was the return of pitcher Max Fried, who, after two months on the IL, started the second game.
The Phillies came back from the All-Star Break to two series against National League rivals, first the Mets and then the Dodgers. In both series, they dropped two games, winning just one in each.
