Close out your year with something magical.

“Wicked: For Good” is flying onto video-on-demand streamers including Prime Video just in time for the New Year.

The sequel to 2024’s “Wicked” picks off where the first installment left off; Elphaba Thropp (Cynthia Erivo) has embraced her power, finding the strength to defy gravity. In doing so, she’s branded the Wicked Witch of the West, while her former best friend Glinda (Ariana Grande) is working for the Wizard as a spokesperson and rebranded as Glinda the Good.

The movie, which features the second act of the “Wicked” stage musical, also includes two new songs: Erivo sings “No Place Like Home,” while Grande belts out “The Girl in the Bubble.”

A digital purchase of “Wicked: For Good” comes with a regular copy of the film, a sing-along-copy, six deleted scenes, five behind the scenes featurettes, and a full length commentary with director Jon M. Chu.

‘Wicked: For Good’ streaming date

“Wicked: For Good” is streaming on-demand on platforms like Prime Video at 12 a.m. ET on Dec. 30!

How to watch ‘Wicked: For Good’ on Prime Video

“Wicked: For Good” is available for digital purchase on Prime Video. The film costs $29.99 to buy, and a rental option may become available when the movie becomes available at 12 a.m. ET/9 p.m. PT.

There is also the option to purchase “Wicked” and “Wicked: For Good” in a bundle for $39.98.

While you won’t have to be a paid Amazon Prime member to buy “Wicked: For Good,” you will need at least a free Amazon account; that way, you can return to watch “Wicked: For Good” whenever you want to.

Video-on-demand rentals are good for 30 days, but expire 48 hours after you first hit play on a rented title.

‘Wicked: For Good’ DVD and 4K release date

While you can stream “Wicked: For Good” at home now, some may prefer a physical alternative to owning movies digitally, where there’s always the chance that rights may be revoked and you’ll lose that digital access. Physical discs are tangible proof that, as long as you have a player to play them, you’ll be able to watch the movies you own.

The 4K UHD, Blu-ray, and DVD copies of “Wicked: For Good” will be released on Jan. 20, but you can preorder now on Amazon to receive your copy on release day.
