The Detroit Lions are ready to rev back up.
After winning the NFC North in 2023 and ’24, Jared Goff and co. regressed last season, finishing the year with a 9-8 record and in the cellar of the elite division.
“Sometimes you’ve got to hit rock bottom before you can work your way back up,” Head Coach Dan Campbell said after the campaign came to a disappointing close.
“As bad as it looks…it’s not as far away as it may appear. We’ve just got to get a few things back in line here.”
And, now that the 2026 NFL schedule has officially dropped, we know what The Pride’s path to prosperity looks like.
Major opponents headed to Detroit’s Ford Field this season include Jordan Love’s Green Bay Packers (Oct. 25), Kyler Murray’s Minnesota Vikings (Nov. 1), Baker Mayfield’s Tampa Bay Buccaneers (Nov. 22), Caleb Williams’ Chicago Bears (Nov. 26) and Jaxson Dart’s New York Giants on Monday, Dec. 28 in their last home game of the season.
To make sure they’re up for the challenge — and avoid a repeat of ’25 — General Manager Brad Holmes got to work these past few months.
In addition to drafting Clemson offensive tackle Blake Miller and Michigan defensive end Derrick Moore, he is also bringing two-time Super Bowl champion running back Isiah Pacheco, Frank Ragnow replacement center Cade Mays, backup quarterback Teddy Bridgewater, rock-solid offensive lineman Larry Borom, and scrappy safety Christian Izien to the Den of Doom.
Fan favorites Goff, Penei Sewell, Amon-Ra St. Brown, Aidan Hutchinson, and Sam LaPorta return as well.
Plus, don’t forget Jahmyr Gibbs and Brian Branch will be back, too.

How to watch/stream Lions games
There is no shortage of ways to watch Lions games live from the comfort of your own home this season.
You can find Campbell’s feisty club on ABC, CBS, ESPN, Fox, NBC, and the NFL Network on select dates.
Through the regular season, most NFC games will be broadcast on FOX.
For prime-time games, “Sunday Night Football” can be found on NBC, along with Peacock. “Monday Night Football” is reserved for ESPN (and sometimes ABC), and “Thursday Night Football” streams on Amazon Prime Video.
