Home advantage has never been so sweet.

On Sunday, July 5, Julián Quiñones’ gutsy Mexico will take the pitch at their own Estadio Azteca in a World Cup round of 16 knockout match against Harry Kane’s clutch England.

If you’d like to be there for what will surely be one of the highly-anticipated clashes of the entire tourney, tickets are now available for this cutthroat contest.

At the time of publication, the lowest price we could find on seats at the 87,523-seat venue was $4,114 USD including fees on SeatGeek.

100-level seats start at $7,906 USD including fees.

Make sure to use promo code NYPOST10 for $10 USD off purchases over $250 USD at checkout (Editor’s Note: this discount is only valid for users’ first purchase on SeatGeek).

In their four 2026 matches — three of which have been at Estadio Azteca due to El Tri’s co-hosting rights — Mexico has compiled a perfect 4-0 record and is yet to allow a goal from their opponents South Africa, South Korea, Czechia and Ecuador.

As a result, Javier Aguirre’s heroic club has now upended their 40-year knockout stage drought.

Yet, even with all their success (and momentous home advantage), the now 3-1-0 Three Lions are favored in Sunday’s do-or-die bout.

England came from behind against the Democratic Republic of Congo in the round of 32 to win 2-1 and keep their World Cup chances alive.

Still, even while pundits predict they have the upper hand, The Three Lions recognize how much of a challenge playing Mexico at home will be.

“The altitude will be, of course, a big disadvantage, because we cannot physically adapt to it in four days. It’s just impossible and more obstacles will maybe come,” England coach Thomas Tuchel said about Mexico after the win.

Factor that in with the fireworks that sounded outside the hotel Ecuador was staying at the night before playing (and losing to) Mexico and England will certainly have their work cut out for them.

“I’m not sure if the travel will be smooth, if the sleep will be smooth, if there’s noise outside the hotel..there will be lots of obstacles but this team will be ready whatever it takes.”

Throw in the fact that Mexico is looking for revenge for the country’s two losses against England in the 1966 and ’86 World Cup and we’re in for a doozy.

Don’t miss this one, Incondicionales and The Barmy Army.

For more information, our team has everything you need to know and more about Mexico vs. England’s 2026 World Cup round of 16 match below.
