Francisco Lindor left Mets fans on the edge of their seats.

In a rare media appearance on Barstool Sports’ “Pardon My Take,” the veteran infielder revealed that fans don’t know what they think they might about co-mascot Mrs. Met.

Co-host Eric Sollenberger, better known as PFT Commenter, started the conversation.

“If I played on the Mets, like I would sometimes get distracted by Mrs. Met,” he said. “Have you ever been distracted by Mrs. Met? She’s hot.”

“No no no. Not at all,” a giggling Lindor said in response.

“Respect the ring,” fellow co-host Dan “Big Cat” Katz said.

“Respectfully, I’d knock it out of the park,” Sollenberger added.

Lindor continued to back his initial answer as the hosts seemed surprised.

“We disagree. I guess we have different tastes in women,” Katz said.

Then, the five-time All-Star and four-time Silver Slugger gave a tidbit that changed the whole energy around the show.

“You guys would be surprised who Mrs. Met is,” he said.

“What? Is it a guy?” Katz said.

“I don’t want you to finish this thought,” Sollenberger replied as Lindor went into a fit of laughter — and didn’t elaborate on his criptic statement.

During the 1963 Mets season, Mr. Met only appeared in cartoon form before becoming the first mascot to appear in-person in Major League Baseball the following year.

Mrs. Met, who was formally known as “Lady Met,” was introduced in 1965, appearing as an illustration on souvenirs, per the league website.

The mascot couple later married in the 1970s, and she subsequently changed her name to Mrs. Met before making her in-person debut in 1975 as the first female mascot in MLB.
