Dodgers need to fix three things to stay alive in World Series

TORONTO — Fissures are showing in the $400 million Dodgers. Actually, it’s more than fissures, more like cracks, Southern Cal earthquake-style cracks.

Baseball’s superteam was still in this World Series thanks to superhuman performances from Yoshinobu Yamamoto in Game 2 and Shohei Ohtani in Game 3, but concerns were growing heading into Game 6. It’ll take a significant turnaround for the Dodgers to become the first repeat World Series champion since the 2000 Yankees, a full generation ago.

All or most of these things will need to get better for LA to pull off the repeat.

1.) The hitting. The great Shohei Ohtani needs more help. As great as Ohtani is, one man can’t comprise an offense, especially if the Blue Jays are going to walk or pitch around him.
