Amid transfer portal drama, Demond Williams Jr. is now agent-less.

Doug Hendrickson, Williams’ representative, dropped the exiting Washington quarterback on Thursday after the signal-caller stunningly announced earlier this week that he intended to enter the transfer portal.

“I have made the decision to end my representation of Demond Williams Jr. effective immediately due to philosophical differences,” Hendrickson wrote on social media on Thursday. “Demond is an incredible talent and we wish him and his family the best in their future endeavors.”

Hendrickson, who also represents Huskies head coach Jedd Fisch, is the executive vice president of football at Wasserman.

On Tuesday, Williams put his name into the portal despite agreeing to a deal to return to the University of Washington just days earlier.

“I have to do what is best for me and my future,” Williams wrote in a statement. “After much thought and prayer, I will be entering the transfer portal.”

Various reports stated that the Huskies plan to enforce the contract Williams signed with the school, and may even use possible legal avenues to do so.

The deal with Washington is “in the mid-$4 million range” for the 2026 season, per ESPN’s Pete Thamel.

Sports attorney Darren Heitner announced on social media that he was retained as legal counsel for Williams.

Williams impressed as a true freshman for the Huskies last season, throwing for 3,065 yards on a 69.5 percent completion rate with 25 touchdowns and eight interceptions.

A year ago, a similar situation took place with defensive back Xavier Lucas, who transferred from Wisconsin to Miami while under contract with the Badgers.

The school did not put Lucas’ name in the transfer portal. Instead, he un-enrolled from Wisconsin and then joined Miami.

Wisconsin then sued Miami for alleged tampering, although Lucas played this season with the Hurricanes.
