Danica Patrick’s analysis seemingly caused Formula 1 world champ, Jenson Button, to break the fourth wall while on the Sky Sports broadcast at the United States Grand Prix.

The former NASCAR driver, who works as an F1 analyst for Sky Sports, talked in circles when she was asked by Sky Sports host Simon Lazenby about a collision between Williams driver Carlos Sainz and Mercedes’ Andrea Kimi Antonelli at the Circuit of the Americas on Sunday.

“Not the best spot to go, you know, like when you make a move in an unusual place, then you get unusual results,” Patrick, 43, said. “Kind of like a turn one sprint, right? You make an unusual move and get an unusual result. So I don’t know. It was not the spot to do it.”

Patrick turned and faced Lazenby, and that’s when Button looked straight at the camera and smirked.

It came after Button explained what had happened during the collision.

Some fans had a field day online with Patrick’s word salad.

“Jenson, blink twice if you need help,” one person wrote on TikTok.

“Jenson looking at the camera is killing me,” someone said, while another added, “Why did she need to add anything, he said it perfectly then she made no sense and added nothing.”

Sainz retired from the race on Lap 6 after the collision with Antonelli at the tight Turn 15.

Sainz received a five-place grid penalty for this weekend’s Mexican Grand Prix. He also had two penalty points added to his F1 super licence.
