A rematch of last year’s Women’s College World Series will go down when this year’s WCWS gets started tonight.

The 2025 champs, Texas Longhorns, will face off with their interstate rival Texas Tech Red Raiders in a best-of-three series for the college title.

Last year, Texas won it all in three games.

On the road to the World Series this year, both teams have faced significant adversity; the Longhorns won six winner-take-all elimination games, while the Red Raiders played in four must-win elimination games.
