PORT ST. LUCIE — Christian Scott, as the fourth musketeer, admits there were moments last season he felt forgotten.

With much fanfare surrounding Nolan McLean, Brandon Sproat and Jonah Tong arriving to the major leagues late in the Mets’ season, Scott — who was rehabbing from Tommy John surgery — was easy to overlook when considering the organization’s young starting pitching.

“In a way you feel that, but also at the same time I know that when I’m on and when I’m healthy and consistent I bring a lot to the table as well,” Scott said this week.

Sproat has since been traded, leaving Tong and Scott in line as reinforcements for a potentially crowded starting rotation. The Mets begin spring training with Freddy Peralta, McLean, Sean Manaea, Clay Holmes, Kodai Senga and David Peterson in the rotation. Tobias Myers is potentially another starter, before you get to Tong and the 26-year-old Scott.
