“60 Minutes” executive producer Nick Bilton announced new correspondents for the news show’s upcoming season late Tuesday – including CBS News’ Norah O’Donnell.

Bilton, who took the job in May, said O’Donnell, who most recently has served as a senior correspondent for the network and also launched a podcast, will become a correspondent for “60 Minutes.”

The executive producer also said he is bringing on “New York Times” conservative columnist Ross Douthat as a correspondent, along with contributors Sebastian Junger, a former ABC News journalist who is best known for his book  “The Perfect Storm,” and Gianna Tononi, a former Vice News journalist.

They will join former Sky News journalist Trevor Phillips, who, in June, was announced as the network’s Senior Global Affairs Correspondent.

“Today, I am pleased to share some great news, and the first of many exciting announcements to come,” Bilton said. ”An exceptional lineup of journalists will be joining ‘60 Minutes,’ carrying on its tradition of fearless, independent and impartial reporting. I can’t wait for them to get started.”

They join veteran correspondents Lesley Stahl, Jon Wertheim and Bill Whitaker.

This is a developing story. Please check back for updates.
