He went back to school.

Shedeur Sanders was back at the University of Colorado on Saturday as the Browns quarterback and former Buffaloes star received his college degree.

Sanders, a sociology major according to the team’s 2024 roster, recorded a video alongside a group of other grads on their big day.

“What’s up, we at graduation, say what’s up,’ Sanders said in the video posted by Colorado, as his fellow students cheered. “It’s called excellence, man, it’s excellence.”

Sanders, 24, was not present at the school’s graduation last year after being drafted by the Browns on April 26.

Notably, his father and former Colorado coach, Deion Sanders, questioned in a 2024 podcast if Shedeur had ever even taken an in-person class at Colorado.

“It’s so different now,” Sanders said on “The Bret Boone Podcast.” “Most of the schooling is online. They go to classes and I’m like, ‘You guys are missing the best part of college to walk around and be on campus and build an atmosphere and build relationships on campus with other students outside of football. That’s the best part of it.

“But now you have so many kids that are just online. I don’t even know if Shedeur has ever taken a class on campus in his college career.”

After falling to the fifth round of the draft last year, Sanders had an eventful rookie season, as he eventually took over the starting job for Cleveland.

Following a concussion to Dillion Gabriel, Sanders started the final seven games of the season, finishing with seven passing scores, 10 interceptions and 1,400 passing yards.

After receiving his diploma, he’ll be focused on beating out Gabriel, Deshaun Watson and rookie Taylen Green for the Browns’ starting job.
