A couple of familiar names are being looked at for the Eagles’ offensive coordinator opening.

Former Giants head coach Brian Daboll and former Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel “are at the top of [Philadelphia’s] list,” according to The Athletic’s Dianna Russini.

The franchise has begun reaching out to candidates for the vacancy, per Russini, after stripping Kevin Patullo of his OC duties on Tuesday after just one season on the job.

Despite the move, the Eagles are seemingly open to keeping Patullo on the coaching staff.

“I have decided to make a change at offensive coordinator,” Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni said in a statement on Tuesday. “I met with Kevin today to discuss the difficult decision, as he is a great coach who has my utmost respect. He has been integral to this team’s success over the last five years, not only to the on-field product but behind the scenes as a valued leader for our players and organization. I have no doubt he will continue to have a successful coaching career.

“Ultimately, when we fall short of our goals that responsibility lies on my shoulders.”

Daboll is looking to get back onto the NFL sidelines after being fired by Big Blue in November after parts of four seasons at the helm.

While he’s likely to be a candidate for offensive coordinator jobs across the league, the Titans also plan on interviewing Daboll for the head coach opening. Linking up with Philly would reunite him with former Giants running back Saquon Barkley.

McDaniel, who was fired by the Dolphins after a four-year run in Miami, during which he went 35-34 without a playoff win, is interviewing for the Browns and Titans’ head coach jobs.

Whomever the Eagles hire, he will be the team’s fifth offensive coordinator in as many seasons after failed experiments with Patullo and Brian Johnson, while Shane Steichen and Kellen Moore both exited for head coaching roles in Indianapolis and New Orleans, respectively.
