Giants pass rusher Brian Burns says the viral video of him airing out frustrations as he went up the tunnel to the locker room on Sunday is not as it seems.

As the team walked off the field in Denver following a disastrous 32-30 loss to the Broncos — in which the Giants held a 26-8 lead with less than six minutes left in the fourth quarter — Burns was captured on video dropping f-bombs and lamenting “stupid ass s–t” while mentioning how they dropped eight into coverage on the play that set up Denver’s game-winning field goal.

Some perceived Burns’ frustration as being directed toward defensive coordinator Shane Bowen, who is currently a big target among the Giants fan base.

Burns offered clarification on Tuesday.

“People took that tunnel video all outta context.. I wasn’t mad at Shane nor the call,” Burns wrote on X, adding a facepalm emoji.

Before Sunday’s loss, NFL teams had won 1,602 consecutive games when leading by at least 18 points with six minutes remaining in the fourth quarter.

In Bowen’s second season with the Giants, they’re allowing 376 yards per game this year, fourth-most in the NFL.

Last season, the Giants were 24th in yards allowed per game at 346.8.

Burns had two sacks in the game and has nine for the season, tying him with the Rams’ Byron Young for the NFL lead. He also leads the league with 12 tackles for loss.

The Giants acquired Burns, 27, from the Panthers in March 2024 and quickly gave him a five-year, $141 million contract with $87.5 million guaranteed.

The two-time Pro Bowler has already surpassed his 2024 total of 8.5 sacks in 17 games, and he’s on pace to blow past his career-high of 12.5 sacks from 2022.
