Boxing star Jermall Charlo pleaded guilty to two separate criminal charges on Monday over allegations he got into a drunken car wreck in 2024.
Charlo appeared in a Brazoria County, Texas court room and copped to one count of driving while intoxicated with a BAC greater than or equal to .15, and one count of collision involving damage to vehicle greater than or equal to $200, according to court records viewed by The California Post.
He was sentenced to three days in county jail. However, a judge gave the 36-year-old fighter credit for three days time served.
Charlo, who’s 34-0 in his boxing career, was also ordered to pay “a fine of $1,011 and all court costs,” the records show. Additionally, his driver’s license was suspended for 90 days.
The case stemmed from a car crash Charlo was involved in on May 6, 2024 in Pearland, Texas.
Pearland Police Department officers alleged Charlo left the scene of an accident after he crashed his red Lamborghini into another vehicle.
Authorities claimed after cops caught up to Charlo a short time after the accident, he exhibited signs of intoxication. He was taken into custody, where he posed for a mug shot that appeared to show him with bloodshot eyes.
A call to Charlo’s attorney, Kent A. Schaffer, for comment on the case’s disposition was not immediately returned.
Charlo, Jermell Charlo’s twin, has fought just twice in the last five years, though he impressed in his most recent bout in May 2025, when he beat Thomas Lamanna by TKO.
