Olympic skiing legend Bode Miller has been cleared from charges of misdemeanor drug possession and paraphernalia that stemmed from his June 6 arrest following a traffic stop in Idaho, his attorney, Jeromy Stafford said, per TMZ.
Fremont County Prosecutor Lindsey Blake said her office recently received information which resulted in her agreeing to dismiss the charges.
“I can confirm our office is dismissing the misdemeanor charges against Mr. Miller,” Blake said. “Although the deputy had sufficient probable cause to arrest Mr. Miller at the beginning of June, we recently received information which resulted in our office determining it is in the interest of justice to dismiss Mr. Miller’s misdemeanor charges.
“I will not be discussing the specifics of this recent information due to it being related to another active case.”
Miller said he was pulled over after another vehicle and his passenger “had a small amount of cannabis and a cannabis pipe in his possession, which I was unaware of.”
The arrest occurred just days before the anniversary of his daughter’s death. Miller and his wife Morgan Beck Miller tragically lost their 19-month-old daughter, Emeline (Emmy) following an accidental drowning on June 10, 2018.
