SAN JOSE, Calif. — Ben McAdoo helped augment the resurrected quarterback that is Sam Darnold.

And now, that quarterback is standing in the way of McAdoo fitting his finger for a second Super Bowl ring.

“Absolutely,” McAdoo told The Post. “If you’re gonna make it hard, you might as well make it hard on yourself. I’m happy for him. It takes tough times to make good players in this league. It can’t all be rainbows and gummy bears.”

It was not all rainbows and gummy bears for McAdoo in his eventful and brief tenure as Giants head coach.
