Adam Fox’s charity pledge this season is one that hits incredibly close to home.

The Rangers defenseman is vowing to donate $1,023 for every goal he scores and $523 for every assist he registers this season to Tackle ALS in honor of his father-in-law, Tim Green, a former NFL star, lawyer and author who was diagnosed with the illness in 2016.

“It’s a blessing to be in a position to have a little impact, and I think it’s important to take advantage of that,” Fox told The Post on Saturday while sitting in his stall at MSG Training Center. “I’m only going to be in this position for so long to go do that, and I think it’s just something that is near and dear to me. Obviously, this is something that from what I’ve learned is a pretty brutal illness, but one that, sadly more recently, has become — but also positive — more awareness to it. You hear about more cases of people getting it.

“I think it’s just something that I’ve tried to bring awareness to, try to help out families that are impacted by it, as well. Know that people are there for them and trying to help out.”
