Mets owner Steve Cohen’s suggestion that the Juan Soto-Francisco Lindor rift isn’t an issue anymore on “The Show” podcast was seen by many as some sort of revelation or even an admission that there ever was a rift.

But the superstar fissure was known to everyone around the team. It’s fair to call it an open secret.

Our Mike Puma wrote about it last year, but that was rare, apparently leaving Mets fans to dream that they are besties despite widespread whispers.

There’s a long history of superstar conflict on championship teams. So it’s far from unique.
