A’ja Wilson is not leaving Las Vegas anytime soon.

Wilson, 29, signed a new contract on Wednesday, the Aces announced, though they did not reveal any contract details.

Multiple reports indicated that the Aces star and four-time WNBA MVP signed a three-year contract to remain in Sin City to make her the highest-paid player in the league.

Wilson will make $1.4 million in 2026 and has the possibility of reaching more than $4.7 million with maximum salary cap raises, The Athletic reported on Wednesday.

Should the salary cap in the WNBA grow to the maximum allowed by the collective bargaining agreement in 2027 and 2028, the total value of Wilson’s contract would go beyond $4.7 million.

The outlet indicated that Wilson is still guaranteed to make more than $4.4 million over three years with 5 percent raises in the cap.

Wilson, one of the WNBA’s most decorated players, made $200,000 during the 2025 season with the Aces.

“A’ja is truly one of one, who has led this franchise to where it is today,” Aces president and general manager Nikki Fargas said in a statement to ESPN. “Not only has she catapulted into the history books and surpassed almost every record in existence, but she does so with the utmost confidence, authenticity and grace. We look forward to continuing to see her thrive in an Aces uniform.”

Wilson finished 2025 by earning regular season MVP honors, Defensive Player of the Year and Finals MVP as she led the WNBA in scoring.

Wilson told reporters last week at USA Basketball’s national team training camp that she was not looking to leave the Aces.

“I love Vegas. I’m not leaving Vegas,” Wilson said. “I’m looking to win another one. I’m looking to defend a championship that we have in Las Vegas. I’m looking to get better as a leader, as a player. Everything else just kind of falls in line.”

The Aces have won three of the last four WNBA championships, with Wilson being part of all three titles.
