The Jets continued to add at the safety position on Friday.
The team agreed to a one-year deal with Andre Cisco, a source confirmed.
NFL Network reported the deal is worth up to $5.25 million.
Cisco started eight games for the Jets last season before a torn pectoral muscle in Week 8 ended his season.
He had 41 tackles and one fumble recovery for the Jets.
The 25-year-old spent his first four NFL seasons with the Jaguars.
It was unclear if the Jets would bring Cisco back, especially after they made some other moves at the position this week.
The Jets acquired Minkah Fitzpatrick in a trade with the Dolphins to be a starter.
They also added Dane Belton from the Giants.
The team drafted Malachi Moore last season and he started 14 games.
Fitzpatrick figures to man one safety spot, although he said this week that the team could use him as their nickel.
It will be interesting to see how things play out at the position in training camp.
Tony Adams, who began last year as the starter, left in free agency, joining the Titans.
The Jets also announced they re-signed linebacker Mykal Walker on Friday.
Walker was a strong special teams player for the Jets last season.
The team also reached an agreement to bring back tackle Chukwuma Okorafor, according to a source.
Okorafor gives the Jets depth on the offensive line.
He played 14 games for the Jets last year, but it was all on special teams.
