SAN FRANCISCO — Eric Saubert’s first naive mistake as a pro was buying a house while with his first NFL team.
Little did he know when he was a rookie tight end with the Falcons in 2017, drafted in the fifth round, that he would play for seven more teams after Atlanta.
The eighth — and current team — is the Seattle Seahawks, who play the Patriots in Super Bowl 2026 on Sunday at Levi’s Stadium.
“The Super Bowl is obviously always the goal when you’re with any team, but with the journey I’ve been on, I think it makes this moment that much sweeter,’’ the 31-year-old Saubert told The Post. “At the time when you’re going through the process of going to different teams — uprooting, learning a new system, making new impressions — it seems daunting.
