Rams WR Puka Nacua sparks speculation after West Hollywood date with Hannah Stocking

Puka Nacua has always played the game of football at full speed. Now, the Los Angeles Rams wide receiver is discovering that Hollywood runs on the same rules. 

After his Rams lost to the Super Bowl-bound Seahawks in the NFC Championship Game last Sunday, Nacua made headlines when he fired off a flirtatious tweet aimed squarely at actress Sydney Sweeney that instantly turned NFL Twitter into a late-night group chat. 

Nacua’s teammates, Byron Young and Kobie Turner told The California Post in an interview it was a “Hall of Fame move,” the kind of confident swing that is usually reserved for Sean McVay on fourth-and-long. 

But before the internet could even coronate a new couple, the plot twisted. Nacua was spotted stepping out of Matsuhisa in West Hollywood with 33-year-old influence Hannah Stocking. 

That’s when the speculation machine revved up.

Are Nacua and Stocking a couple? A friendly dinner? A publicity chess move with a deeper endgame? Some insist the date was real. Others believe it’s Hollywood misdirection, a smoke screen before another shot at Sweeney, or someone else.

Nacua himself seemed to pump the brakes on Wednesday at Toyota Glow-Up Classic when he told The California Post “I have an actual fear of heights,” when asked if he was going to go skydiving with Sweeney anytime soon.

This is all happening against a louder, messier backdrop.

In December, Nacua faced backlash after making an antisemitic gesture during a livestream. He later issued a public apology, writing, “I deeply apologize to anyone who was offended by my actions as I do not stand for any form of racism, bigotry or hate of another group of people.”

The moment served as a reminder that celebrity isn’t just access—it’s accountability, and mistakes echo longer in Hollywood than touchdowns.

On the field, Nacua’s résumé speaks loudly enough.

Off it, he’s leaning into the Los Angeles lifestyle with the curiosity of someone who knows the spotlight won’t wait.

Formerly linked to Hallie Aiono, now photographed with Stocking, and loosely tied to Sweeney by a tweet heard around the league, Nacua is learning that in this town, every move is content.
