The Hornets are bolstering their guard rotation.
Charlotte acquired Coby White and Mike Conley Jr. from the Bulls in exchange for Collin Sexton, Ousmane Dieng and three second-round picks on Wednesday, per ESPN.
With White, in particular, the Hornets add to an emerging young roster that has played well of late.
White joins LaMelo Ball, Kon Knueppel and Brandon Miller, among others, adding to the Hornets’ stable of up-and-coming 20-somethings.
Last season, White, who turns 26 later this month, averaged career-highs in points (20.4) and field goal percentage (45.3 percent) for Chicago.
He’s been limited to just 29 games this season with calf problems.
Charlotte has won seven straight games heading into Thursday’s game against the Rockets.
Their slow start has them outside of the Eastern Conference playoff and play-in picture, sitting at 23-28, one game behind the Bulls for the 10th spot in the conference.
Conley, 38, heads to Charlotte just one day after being dealt to Chicago from the Timberwolves as part of a three-team deal with the Pistons on Tuesday in what was largely a cap space clearing deal for Minnesota.
After the deal broke, NBA insider Jake Fischer floated the idea that Conley could be bought out and return to the Wolves this season.
The move continues what has been a busy NBA trade deadline for the Bulls.
On Tuesday, Chicago traded two-time All-Star center Nikola Vucevic and a second-round pick to the Celtics for Anfernee Simons and a second-rounder.
Not long before that, the Bulls got Jaden Ivey along with Conley in the three-team trade.
