There is surely plenty of scrambling going on as the Titans deal with the reality that John Harbaugh will not be walking through that door to save them.

With Harbaugh choosing the Giants, the Titans are forced to recalibrate their plans now that the Harbaugh dream is over.

The betting markets on the prediction trading platform Kalshi do not have the Titans pivoting to a coach with similar cachet.

Chiefs offensive coordinator Matt Nagy is the clear favorite to be the next Titans coach at 53 percent.

As Harbaugh was meeting with the Giants on Wednesady, he had a 17 percent chance to be the Titans coach. That number is zero now.

The betting interest boom for the Titans has shockingly gone over to former Giants coach Brian Daboll.

Daboll had a two percent chance to be the Titans coach as of Tuesday, but has since shot up to 24 percent as Tennessee’s scrambles for a contingency plan.

Daboll is slated to interview for the job Friday, while Packers defensive coordinator Jeff Hafley, Chargers defensive coordinator Jesse Minter, former Cardinals head coach Jonathan Gannon, and Jets defensvie coordinator Robert Saleh will also interview this weekend.

Here’s a look at the odds for who will coach No. 1 pick Cam Ward next season:

Matt Nagy53 percent
Brian Daboll24 percent
Mike McDaniel15 percent
Mike McCarthy14 percent
Kevin Stefanski9 percent
Kliff Kingsbury6 percent
Chris Shula5 percent

As the Titans’ plans become clear, the team could opt to pivot to someone who also provides stability and a proven track record like Harbaugh.

Mike McCarthy won a Super Bowl with the Green Bay Packers and stablized a Cowboys franchise from 2020-24.

Betting on the NFL?

McCarthy has a 14 percent chance to end up being the next Titans coach and is expected to interview Saturday.

The Browns also made an interesting candidate available in Kevin Stefanski.

The two-time NFL Coach of the Year award winner has a nine percent chance to land the job at the time of writing.
