Jorge Polanco is a Met.

The power-hitting infielder agreed to a two-year, $40 million deal with the Amazin’s on Saturday, according to noti.group’s Joel Sherman.

Polanco slashed .265/.326/.495 with 26 home runs for the Mariners in 2025.

While he spent most of his time as Seattle’s designated hitter last season, Polanco has bounced around the field during his 12-year big league career, playing significant time at second base, third base and shortstop.

The Mets plan for Jorge Polanco to play around the infield but mostly at first base — previously occupied by Pete Alonso — while also serving as the team’s designated hitter.

A Dominican Republic native, Polanco played 10 seasons for the Twins before heading to Seattle, making the American League All-Star team and receiving some MVP votes during a career-best 2019 season.

More to come on this developing story…
