As the college football season moves into November, the playoff picture starts to become clearer, and this week’s College GameDay spotlight will be on a matchup with major Big 12 implications going forward.

The No. 7 BYU Cougars will be on the road this week against the No. 8 Texas Tech Red Raiders. At 8-0 on the season so far (and five Big 12 matchups played), BYU sits atop the conference, but the Red Raiders are not close behind. At second in the Big 12, Texas Tech is 8-1 overall with a 5-1 record against fellow Big 12 schools.
