The new Hulu original comedy stars Glen Powell (“Top Gun: Maverick”) as Russ Holliday, a hotshot QB whose college career is tanked by disgracing himself in a championship game. Holliday disguises himself as the titular Chad Powers in an attempt to revitalize his career and walk on to a struggling Southern college team.
In addition to starring, Powell is a creator, executive producer, and writer on “Chad Powers;” he co-created alongside Michael Waldron (“Rick and Morty,” “Loki”).
If Chad looks familiar, it’s because the character was created by Eli Manning in 2022 for a sketch in his “Eli’s Places” ESPN+ series, where he went “undercover” as Chad Powers to participate in Penn State’s walk-on tryouts. Manning and his brother Peyton are both executive producers and were active in the production of the series.

The first two episodes of “Chad Powers” will drop Sept. 30 on Hulu.
Hulu has not specified a release time for the series, but based on other Hulu originals (namely “Only Murders in the Building”), it’s likely new episodes of “Chad Powers” will come out at midnight EST on Tuesdays.
