He’s not a fist-pumper on the golf course. And he won’t be a rah-rah guy for the U.S. Ryder Cup team that’ll try to wrest the coveted gold chalice from Europe from Sept. 26-28 at Bethpage Black.
But make no mistake: Scheffler is a leader of these 11 other American players on the team.
He’s a quiet but effective leader who behind the scenes was spearheading this “training camp” trip by 10 of the 12 Ryder Cup players to the Procore Championship this week at Silverado in Napa.
