Kevin Gausman will take the mound for the Blue Jays with a chance to take home the World Series trophy on Friday night in Toronto.

The right-hander has been solid during the Blue Jays’ playoff run, posting a 2.55 ERA in five appearances (four starts), but he’s a bit of a problem with the long ball.

Over his last three starts (18 innings), Gausman has allowed four home runs, which is well above his regular-season rate of fewer than one homer allowed per nine innings (0.98).

While he’s a flyball-prone pitcher at heart, batters are getting the ball in the air more than usual against Gausman of late.

Gausman has allowed at least 10 fly balls in each of his four postseason starts this October while getting no more than six ground balls in any of those outings.

In his last start in Game 2, both Max Muncy and Will Smith got to Gausman, hitting home runs in the seventh inning to knock him out of the game.

It was a continuation of past dominance for Muncy against Gausman, who has hit three dingers with a pair of doubles in 23 career regular-season plate appearances against him.

Although he’s struggled of late, Mookie Betts has had a ton of previous success against Gausman, hitting three home runs with a .306 batting average in 53 career regular-season plate appearances.

I’m targeting all three Dodgers hitters to go yard, and walking away with a profit if just one of them pulls it off.

The play: Mookie Betts (+550, BetMGM Sportsbook), Max Muncy (+475, bet365 Sportsbook), and Will Smith (+500, BetMGM Sportsbook) to hit a home run
