Marcus Stroman knew.

This was way back on April 5 in Pittsburgh, after Trent Grisham clubbed a pair of home runs — Nos. 2 and 3 on the year — and Stroman was singing his praises to the point that it sounded like hyperbole.

“Trent’s incredible,” the since-released pitcher said. “Trent’s an everyday player. I think people forget that, that he’s an incredible everyday player, but you don’t see him in that light right now.

“If you put him anywhere else, he’s a guy that — I don’t even know, he’d probably hit 30 [home runs], [steal] bags and give you plus-defense.”
