Shohei Ohtani had a long night Monday.

The Japanese superstar reached base nine times during the Dodgers’ wild 18-inning win over the Blue Jays to put them up 2-1 in the World Series.

But it wasn’t easy for Ohtani along the way.

In the 11th inning, Ohtani was checked on by a trainer experiencing cramping while running the bases and stayed in the game.

At one point during the marathon contest, Ohtani was so tired that he walked out of the clubhouse wearing the wrong hat, according to Sports Illustrated’s Tom Verducci,

With just 17 hours of rest, Ohtani will try to fight off fatigue when he takes the mound for the Dodgers in Game 4.

Surprisingly, a couple of the Blue Jays’ key hitters have had some success against Ohtani.

George Springer, who may be sidelined after leaving Game 3 with right side discomfort, is 7-for-16 with two home runs against Ohtani over his career.

Vladimir Guerrero Jr., who, of course, will be in the lineup Tuesday night, has also hit Ohtani well, going 3-for-9 with a home run.

Once Ohtani leaves the game, Guerrero will be facing a hard-pressed Dodgers bullpen that was tapped out by the end of Monday’s game.

As we’ve seen countless times, Ohtani is otherworldly, but even a superhuman is going to have a tough time with this kind of turnaround.

Fade Ohtani and expect a strong game from Guerrero while keeping an eye on Springer’s status.

The play: Vladimir Guerrero Jr. Over 1.5 total bases (+100, DraftKings) | Shohei Ohtani Over 2.5 earned runs allowed (+100, DraftKings)
