Whoopi Goldberg scolded an audience member during Tuesday’s episode of the ABC talk show after he was caught recording on his cell phone. And now, an audience member is coming forward about what else went down off-camera during the incident.
Manhattan native Brian Wilson, who was at the taping, claimed to have seen two women argue with the man that tried to record the episode. Goldberg then stepped in to prevent a physical altercation.
Wilson told Entertainment Weekly that the male “was putting the camera over her head,” which irritated the one woman.
Their argument then “started to become a little distracting.”
“I could hear the woman say, ‘Stop that’ and ‘move,’” Wilson recalled of the “confrontation.”
“At one point I heard her say, ‘We might have to call security on you.’”
“Once I saw the flustering, I looked over, and I could see the guy has his camera out, the woman to his right is putting her hands on him, on the camera, to lower it down,” he added. “She’s basically saying ‘Stop! Stop filming! Stop doing that! He aggressively nudges her hand away and was like, ‘No.’ He was not having [it]. That’s when I was like, ‘Oh, this is bad.’”
Moderator Goldberg and her “The View” co-hosts Sunny Hostin, Joy Behar, Sara Haines and Alyssa Farah Griffin were having a panel discussion about Donald Trump when the incident took place.
The “Ghost” actress paused the show to end the scuffle, telling him: “Sir, I have to stop you with the camera. Because I can see you. So, do me a favor, don’t pull it out again, I’d appreciate that. Thank you.”
Wilson initially thought that the show would cut to a commercial, but cameras kept rolling.

Haines, 46, spoke about the eventful morning when she appeared on the show’s podcast “Behind the Podcast” afterward.
“There was a man in our eye-line. Directly. He was lifting his phone up, and the woman next to him kept hitting his arm pretty aggressively,” she said. “She kept swatting his phone down.”
“I was having a hard time focusing because I was thinking, is this growing or building?” she went on. “And that’s when Whoopi got up.”
