In October 2024, Halsey embarked on a brief three-concert tour to promote the release of her fifth studio album “The Great Impersonator”

Now, she’s giving the well-received record a proper introduction to the country.

Starting in May, the 30-year-old New Jersey native will launch her ‘For My Last Trick: The Tour’ along with special guests Evanescence, Magdalena Bay, Royel Otis, Alvvays, Sir Chloe and more on select dates.

Along the way, the “Closer” singer will make stops at Long Island’s Jones Beach Theater on Sunday, June 1, Holmdel, NJ’s PNC Bank Arts Center on Friday, June 6 and Camden, NJ’s Freedom Mortgage Pavilion on Saturday, June 7.

“‘The Great Impersonator’ is Halsey’s most honest album,” NME raved in a five-star review. “That is if you choose to believe her.”

Prior to the nationwide run, she’ll headline at Austin, TX’s Sips and Sounds Festival on Friday, March 7. Fellow big names joining her at the two-day extravaganza include Benson Boone, Khalid, AJR, Chelsea Cutler and Suki Waterhouse.

Fans can purchase tickets for all upcoming Halsey shows on sites like Vivid Seats; the official on-sale for the ‘For My Last Trick: The Tour’ is Friday, Feb. 21.

Vivid Seats is a secondary market ticketing platform, and prices may be higher or lower than face value, depending on demand.

They have a 100% buyer guarantee that states your transaction will be safe and secure and will be delivered before the event.

Halsey new music

On Oct. 25, Halsey released her fifth studio album “The Great Impersonator.”

The record, comprised of 18 tracks, starts small. Opening with the winsome “Only Living Girl in LA,” one might expect the album to filled with soul-searching ballads. While we wouldn’t mind that, Halsey quickly mixes things up and ascends to a higher plane around the five-minute mark of the tune. Reverb kicks in, bass thumps. Clearly, we won’t be navel-gazing the whole way through.

Soon after, she embraces mid-aughts punk-pop (“Ego”) and trippy rock (“Dog Years”) before reaching “The Great Impersonator’s” peak with the stripped-down barroom “Letter to God (1974)” that intentionally sounds like it was recorded in a tin can. This lo-fi production is a welcome respite before the exquisite Stevie Nicks-esque “Panic Attack” and lovely “The End.”

“Letter to God (1983),” which mimics the sonic qualities of a live recording from the era, hints that this clever conceit where Halsey displays the years in a “Letter to God” song is a neat trick. Without telling, she’s showing us how production has evolved in the latter half of the 20th century. The trilogy comes to a close with the twinkly, polished “Letter to God (1998).”

Other highlights abound — a cover of Britney Spears’ “Lucky,” the plucky title track, the vulnerable “Life of the Spider (Draft)” — over the course of the 66-minute runtime. Clearly, Halsey is an artist with ideas bursting at the seams and the listener gets to reap the rewards of her expansive imagination.

If you’d like to hear this adventurous, ambitious album yourself, you can find “The Great Impersonator” here.
