The Jets dropped another game on Sunday, this one a 13-6 loss to the Panthers. They are now 0-7. Here are some thoughts and observations from the game:

1. With the Jets in the middle of another quarterback dilemma, it is going to be natural to wonder if they would have been better off sticking with Aaron Rodgers instead of kicking him to the curb. Look, the plan to move to Justin Fields has been an abject failure. Benching him in the seventh game of the season cannot be seen any other way. Jets owner Woody Johnson has to be questioning why his decision makers thought it was a good idea to give Fields $30 million guaranteed.

Rodgers is playing pretty well in Pittsburgh. He has not been great, but he threw four touchdowns in their loss to the Bengals this week and has 14 passing touchdowns this season, tied for third-most in the NFL.

I don’t think there’s any question the Jets would have been better with Rodgers this season. They would not be winless with him. I think 2-5 or 3-4 would be a realistic projection. You may think that is low but remember the Jets only won five games with him last year.
