Ye it ain’t so.
After apologizing for anti-Semitic and anti-Black comments via a full-page ad in The Wall Street Journal in late January, the 24-time Grammy winner announced he’ll headline a two-night residency at Inglewood, CA’s SoFi Stadium this spring.
His pair of gigs are slated to go down:
Wednesday, April 1
7 p.m.
Friday, April 3
7 p.m.
If you’d like to be there, tickets are available for both shows as of now.
At the time of publication, the lowest price we could find on tickets for either concert was $125 including fees on StubHub.
Floor seats start at $595 including fees.
These performances come in support of the divisive 48-year-old’s forthcoming 12th studio album “Bully,” which he has been teasing since September 2024 and features Peso Pluma, Playboi Carti and Ty Dolla $ign.
While we can’t say for certain what West will perform at these shows, he played 39 songs along with his daughter North West at his most recent gig in Mexico City on Jan. 31. According to Set List FM, he delivered fan favorites “Can’t Tell Me Nothing,” “Jesus Walks,” “Through the Wire,” “Flashing Lights” and “Stronger” among others along with cuts from the new record, which finds him singing more than rapping.
…[the rapper], who had little verbal interaction with the audience, focused on delivering hit after hit, stopping the music only occasionally to listen to the roar of the crowd, which maintained a high energy from start to finish,” Billboard noted in a review.
“I am not a Nazi or an antisemite. I love Jewish people,” West wrote in the Wall Street Journal after years of incendiary comments that claimed otherwise. He also shared that he understood he sold Nazi imagery and took responsibility for the harm he caused Jewish communities.
“To the black community – which held me down through all of the highs and lows and the darkest of times,” he continued. “The black community is, unquestionably, the foundation of who I am. I am so sorry to have let you down…“I lost touch with reality. Things got worse the longer I ignored the problem. I said and did things I deeply regret.”
“…Having bipolar disorder is a notable state of constant mental illness. When you go into a manic episode, you are ill at that point…I’m not asking for sympathy, or a free pass, though I aspire to earn your forgiveness. I write today simply to ask for your patience and understanding as I find my way home.”

JAŸ-Z Yankee Stadium concerts
West’s old mentor has a pair of shows at Yankee Stadium this summer. He’ll be celebrating the anniversaries of two of his landmark albums.
His first gig is scheduled for Friday, July 10. At that one, he’ll pay homage to his 1996 debut “Reasonable Doubt,” which turns 30 this year. That record spawned hits like “Dead Presidents II,” “Can’t Knock The Hustle” and “Brooklyn’s Finest” among others.
Then, on Saturday, July 11, the 56-year-old New York native will return for an encore performance featuring cuts from the now 25-year-old “The Blueprint.” Notable tracks from the record include “Izzo (H.O.V.A.), “Renegade” and “Heart of the City (No Love).”
Also, of note, a little more than a month before hitting the Big Apple, Hov — who has been referring to himself as JAŸ-Z with an umlaut online like he did on the “Reasonable Doubt” album cover — is scheduled to headline at Philadelphia’s Roots Picnic Festival on Saturday, May 30.

Kanye West controversy
Over the years, the 46-year-old Chicago native has generated quite a bit of ire.
One of a number of his many notable dustups took place in late 2022 when he made a handful of anti-Semitic statements which led to many companies he partnered with — including Gap, Adidas and Balenciega — dropping him from their labels.
West later apologized for those unfortunate comments on Instagram, although that post is no longer available to view on his account at the time of publication.
