A University of Kentucky football player will face charges for allegedly sneaking naked into a sleeping woman’s bed, trying to pry open her legs and refusing to leave, according to reports.

Running back Jamarion Wilcox, 21, was taken into custody on Friday and charged with sexual abuse in the first degree in connection to an incident that occurred at an off-campus house on Aug. 20, WLKY reported.

Jamarion Wilcox, 21, was arrested Friday and charged with sexual abuse in the first degree in connection to an off-campus August incident, according to reports. Courier Journal

Court documents alleged that Wilcox was visiting one woman at a home in South Upper Street in Lexington where he assaulted her roommate as she slept in her bed.

The unidentified victim claimed that she awoke to find the ball carrier got in her bed without her consent while trying to “forcibly” open her legs, the Courier Journal reported citing court papers.

When she told Wilcox that he was in the wrong room, he laughed and started touching her again, the victim claimed.

The victim informed her roommate — who the football player was initially there to visit — of Wilcox’ bizarre behavior and both women confronted him.

Wilcox refused to get out of the bed when asked, forcing the two women to call the cops, the report stated.

“The police came to my apartment to escort him out, in which he refused to do so for at least 20 minutes,” the woman claimed in a petition, according to the Courier Journal.

Fayette District court granted the victim a restraining order against Wilcox who is ordered to remain at least 500 feet away.

University of Kentucky spokesperson Susan Lax said the school is “aware of the situation with Jamarion and will continue to gather information and monitor the situation closely,” the Courier Journal reported.

Wilcox will continue to be withheld from participating in team activities, local reports stated.

Coach Mark Stoops announced that after the Wildcats opening game against Toledo that Wilcox was being held out for a “violation of team rules.”

The Douglasville, Georgia native led the Wildcats in rushing in the 2024 season, amassing 590 yards and two touchdowns over 92 carries, according to ESPN.

He has not dressed for any games this season, and instead will suit up for his next court hearing on November 3, the Courier Journal reported..
