Trio of nurses hope to find husbands on 'Love is Blind'

The trio of nurses competing on Season 8 of “Love Is Blind” have steered clear of getting romantic with MDs — so they’re finding husbands on TV instead.

“I would never date a doctor. They’re not my type. I go for more of the creative guys,” Meg Fink told The Post.

Sara Carton said while she is attracted to doctors, she thinks it’s best not to mix business with pleasure.

“I wish. That’d be great. But no, I never … I would meet doctors and everything at work, but I just kind of wanted to keep it separated and be professional. But ideally in the past I would have loved to,” she said.

Taylor Haag agreed.

“I’ve never dated a doctor I’ve worked with. I’ve matched with doctors on dating apps. And I’ve gone on casual dates [with them], but never serious,” she said.

The three said the men on the Netflix reality dating series — where singles date in walled-off pods, never seeing what the other looks like until after they’re engaged — were happy to hear what they did for a living.

“Most of them associate nursing with someone who’s compassionate, kind and honest,” said Fink, 31, an oncology nurse.

“One guy was like, ‘Every nurse I know is a great person.’”

Carton, 29, said her job sparked deep discussion.

“I’m specifically an oncology nurse, so some guys could relate to that, and so we were able to just get into conversation,” she said.

Haag, 32, a colonoscopy nurse, used her gig as an ice-breaker on the show, which premiered on Feb. 14.

“I did use the pick-up line, ‘Have you ever had a colonoscopy before?’ So I got a lot of the laughs from that conversation,” she said.

The women said they wouldn’t have been able to join “Love Is Blind” if it hadn’t been for their bosses and fellow nurses.

“The support that I’ve gotten from not only my manager, but all the nurses I work with to cover my shifts for the show … I wouldn’t have been able to do it without them, so I’m very grateful,” said Haag, of Painesville, MN.

“I am a new nurse and so I had just got my first nursing job when I approached them with this opportunity,” said Fink, who grew up in Iowa, but now lives in Minneapolis.

“They got back to me and they’re like, ‘We really want you to be able to take this opportunity,’ It was so nice.”

This was the first time the series cast singles from Minnesota — and Carton, who hails from St. Cloud, jumped at the opportunity to start the application process, which begins with a 75-question questionnaire.

“I’ve always just loved the concept of ‘Love Is Blind.’ I remember even watching Season 2 with an ex-boyfriend of mine, and I was telling him ‘I could see myself on this,’” she recalled.

“He was like, ‘I could see you on it too.’ When I saw that they were casting in Minneapolis, I was like, ‘It’s meant to be.’”

Haag, who was engaged five years ago, was recruited by a casting producer.

“I tried everything like mutual friend setups, the bar scene, dating apps,” she said.

“I honestly almost didn’t take the opportunity. My father had been diagnosed with a rare form of cancer a few weeks prior … And a girlfriend texted me and she’s like, ‘Just submit your stuff. What do you have to lose?’”

Fink applied while in nursing school.

“Going through the application and just thinking about what I want in a partner, it was a really good exercise in escape from how rigorous my studies were at the time,” she said.

Although participants cannot see who they are dating, Carton, for one, was comfortable dating blindly.

“I’ve never had a type. I’ve dated babyfaces, I’ve dated musclemen, I’ve dated dad bods … so I was open to anyone at all,” she said, laughing.
