Former Knicks coach Tom Thibodeau has been bouncing around practices for different teams, and on Monday he was spotted with the rival Celtics.
“That was awesome having Thibs. Obviously, they eliminated us last year,” Celtics star Jaylen Brown told reporters. “So him being able to kind of give us some of the thoughts that he saw in that series and some of the stuff that they broke down in our personnel, or even our team, helps us grow and learn from that.
“To have Thibs here at our practice explaining some of the things that he saw that helped them beat us only helps me get better, only helps us get better. So I value that.”
Knicks center Mitchell Robinson got a kick out of it.
He reposted a video of Brown talking about the visit on Instagram and wrote: “bruhhh I’m f—n crying this is the best thing I saw all day.”
The post was preceded by six laughing face emojis.
The Knicks defeated the Celtics in six games during their Eastern Conference semifinal series last season before Tom Thibodeau was fired after he failed to get the team to the NBA Finals.
