There’s really no euphemisms available for this. Not after what we saw at Madison Square Garden on Thursday night. Not after the Pistons walked into the Garden and walked all over the Knicks even without two vital chambers of their oversized collective heart, Jalen Duren and Isaiah Stewart.

Sometimes you can explain things away. There’s no explaining away Pistons 126, Knicks 111. There’s no minimizing it, mitigating it, miniaturizing it.

The Pistons hit the Knicks in the mouth. Again.

The Pistons outplayed, outworked, and outhustled the Knicks across 48 minutes of one of the more sobering nights MSG has hosted in years. Again. The Knicks had no answers once the Pistons opened the lead up. Again.
