In the joyful chaos of winning Unrivaled’s championship game Wednesday night, Breanna Stewart was popping champagne when she realized some of her Mist teammates appeared to be losing battles with the muselet and cork keeping the golden bubbles contained.

Stewart lent a helping hand, showing her teammates the proper way to open the bottle to christen a championship win.

“To share this with them is really cool because it’s, like, not that I get used to winning, but fortunately, it happens a lot,” Stewart said. “… I want to share that with them.”

That’s who Stewart is: a selfless leader who makes sure those around her are taken care of, a winner who’s done it on and off the court at various levels.
