The whirlwind of the first few days of NFL free agency came and went last week, and the Giants played their part in adding to the player movement frenzy.

Going in, the Giants were expected to take their shots, but not set the market with any single signing. They wanted to target certain areas and make a determined effort to bring back some of their own players before they hit the open market.

Things went according to plan for the Giants, for the most part. They addressed needs and shaped their roster based on new head coach John Harbaugh’s vision for this team in 2026 and beyond. The most money committed to a player — $40 million — went to a tight end. That was not on many Giants free agency bingo cards.
