Actor Jon Miyahara, best known for the sitcom “Superstore,” has died at 83.

His death was announced by fellow “Superstore” cast member Colton Dunn in an Instagram post on Thursday.

“John was a really awesome guy and as a performer could speak volumes with just a look,” Dunn wrote.

He continued, “He was such a memorable part of the Cloud 9 team. It was an honor to know him and work with him. I was lucky enough to meet some of his family and my thoughts are with them. Rest in Peace John.”

No cause of death was disclosed.

The Post reached out to Dunn for comment, as well as “Superstore” stars America Ferrera and Ben Feldman.

Other “Superstore” actors replied to Dunn’s post, flooding it with their remembrances.

Kelly Stables commented, “Oh man! He was always so sweet.”

Irene White chimed in, “What an incredible man,” while Michael Bunin replied, “I’m so sad to hear this news. Many fun days and many fun conversations. Very nice guy.”

Amir Korangy, who played another “Superstore” employee, commented on Dunn’s Instagram post, “He was such an amazing soul. Caring, smart and fun with a wonderful calming Zen demeanor. He was so sweet when I got ill and had so many positive conversations with me. R.I.P.”

“Superstore” was Miyahara’s only prominent Hollywood role.

The actor — born Jonathan Yasushi Miyahara — made just one on-screen cameo, reprising the role of Brett in an episode of “Superstore” creator Justin Spitzer’s next show, “American Auto,” another NBC workplace sitcom that aired from 2021 to 2023.

“Superstore” aired on NBC for six seasons, from 2015 to 2021. Starring Ferrera and Feldman, the show followed employees at the fictional big box store, Cloud 9. Miyahara was in 105 out of the series’ 113 episodes, playing Brett, an older employee who was mostly silent.

Despite barely having any lines, he stole scenes with Brett’s excellence at his job.

In Season 2, everyone thought Brett died in a tornado, and they even held a memorial for him. (He said one of his only lines, “Oh sh-t,” during the tornado incident).

However, he later turned up alive and back to work.

“Brett was a small but crucial part of why Superstore was so good. Stole every scene he was in and somehow had a well defined character despite never speaking,” one fan commented on Reddit.

They added, “We’ve all worked with a Brett too, an older person who isn’t very talkative but is way better at their job than anyone else there. RIP.”
