The Steelers turned to a higher power on Sunday night.

Pittsburgh went deep into its bag of tricks ahead of a shocking 26-24 home win over the Ravens, with a priest blessing the field at Acrisure Stadium with holy water in a unique pregame ritual.

Oddly enough, the endzone the priest blessed was the very same end zone where Ravens kicker Tyler Loop missed a 44-yard field goal attempt in the final moments to seal the Steelers’ AFC North title.

“I’m not gonna ask questions,” Steelers’ team captain Cam Heyward told reporters while laughing postgame when asked about divine intervention as the team celebrated. “The good Lord made a good decision tonight. I’m thankful, and we keep moving on.”

Pittsburgh quarterback Aaron Rodgers turned back the clock during the fourth quarter against a Ravens pass defense that wasn’t able to pressure the 42-year-old star.

Rodgers went 11-of-14 for 133 yards and threw a game-winning passing touchdown to Calvin Austin III with 55 seconds left.

With the Steelers now playoff-bound, the attention turns to the Ravens and head coach John Harbaugh, whose future with the franchise has been a talking point in recent weeks.

And while the future of Steelers coach Mike Tomlin has also been heavily speculated, Pittsburgh’s wild finish was the only thing on his mind Sunday night.

“If my aunt had male parts, she’d be my uncle,” Tomlin joked after a reporter asked what may have happened to him if the Ravens had made the field goal.

Pittsburgh will host the Texans next Monday in the wild-card round.

It’ll mark Rodgers’ return to the postseason for the first time since 2021, when he was still with the Packers.
