The Sirens’ path toward a franchise turnaround has been released.

On Wednesday, their official 30-game PWHL regular-season schedule was revealed, laying out their opportunity to crawl out of a deep hole after placing last in the league for the second consecutive season, only winning 12 games.

They open the season with a big challenge in facing the 2025 runner-ups, the Ottawa Charge, on Nov. 22 at 7 p.m. at TD Place.

The Sirens will face the two newest franchises in the newly formed eight-team league within their first four games — Vancouver and Seattle.

The latter will bring a matchup against two of the top three Sirens scorers from the 2024-25 season, Alex Carpenter and Jessie Eldridge, after the Sirens left them unprotected during the exclusive signing window in June.

The Sirens will host Vancouver for their home opener on Nov. 29 at Prudential Center.

The PWHL schedule will feature its first Olympic break, pausing play for 28 days from Jan. 29 to Feb. 25. The league will also go on a short break for the Canada-USA Rivalry Series and Women’s Euro Hockey Tour from Dec. 8-15.

“In a city where expectations are always sky-high, we embrace the challenge,” general manager Pascal Daoust said in a statement. “Every season is an opportunity to write a new story. Chapter three brings new rivalries, and a new adventure for the Sirens. With new teams on the schedule and new faces in our lineup, the Sirens are ready to bring a brand of hockey that is fast, fearless, and intelligent. From the first drop of the puck, we’re chasing excellence and building something our entire community can rally behind.”

The regular season will conclude for the Sirens on April 25 against the Boston Fleet at Tsongas Center, after which they will hope to be one of the top four teams in the league in order to make the playoffs, as has been the rule the past two seasons with six teams.

With eight teams, the league has yet to clarify if that playoff format will still stand in the PWHL’s third season.
