SAN FRANCISCO — Osi knew.

Osi Umenyiora — Nigerian-born, England-raised and a standout Giants defensive end from 2003-13 — made it his mission to return to the UK after he retired as a player and grow the NFL game abroad.

That’s when he came across Aden Durde, a native of England who was obsessed with the NFL since he was a child growing up in Middlesex, just north of London.

Durde was not an English football fan like his brother and a lot of the other kids in the neighborhood who supported West Ham.
